Does anyone have experience dealing with DC’s Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH)? I was awarded a warranty bond against a developer to fix about $36,000 worth of damage/missing structural issues. The award was granted in August 2021. The developer contested it and we went to court in March 2022. The judge said he would give his decision by May 2022…and it’s now October. (more…)

Has anyone else noticed a particular shortage of Ubers at DCA recently? The last few times I’ve tried to get a car over the past month, the app searched for 5-10 minutes and then cancelled. This has happened at peak and non peak airport times. Don’t have the same issue with Lyfts and have just tried the taxi line too, but wondering if anyone else has experienced the same and/or knows what’s going on.”

We purchased a home earlier this year with an old oil boiler that we planned to replace immediately. For a variety of reasons (the fact that the previous owner filled up the oil tank between inspection and closing, waiting for IRA energy efficiency rebates to become available next year, other priority house projects, etc.) we’ve decided to wait to make the upgrade.
