The north side of Q Street NW, between 15th and 16th has, in all recent memory (10+ years), been Tuesday street cleaning.
But . . . they’ve put one – one! – new sign in the middle of the block that says “Thursday”! (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
I’m saving to replace the heat pump in a small 1BR condo in Glover Park. Trying to get it replaced before it dies so that I’m not scrambling.
The contractor will need a crane to get it onto the roof of a 3 story building.
Has anyone replaced their heat pump recently under similar circumstances? (more…)

In addition, DC Public Schools are also dealing with this and students are expected to learn in classrooms that are also over 80 degrees. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Any thoughts on best Mexican restaurant for catering on Cinco de mayo?”
I suggested Mezcalero, Taqueria Habenero, Taqueria al Lado and Chicatana.
Any others they should look into?

“Dear PoPville,
On Friday they dropped the attached memo at everyone’s door. To summarize, it states that marijuana will not be allowed at all in any the building even if the user has a medical prescription. I’m wondering if this is happening elsewhere in the city?”
