“Dear PoPville,
We use a Verizon phone line for our condo’s call box, and for whatever reason they charge us as much as $11 for a local call, but only $0.54 for a long distance call, which is just wild, but I can’t seem to find a another good company that provides (more…)

Luckily, my dog was at my feet, and with the help of an unidentified good samaritan, they pulled the dog off of mine, stopping the attack. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Seeking advice on how to deal with a difficult resident situation in my apartment complex. There is a resident in this complex that is experiencing a severe mental health crisis and it is seriously impacting other residents’ ability to live safely in our own apartments.
First, I do want to say that I am incredibly sympathetic to this resident’s current situation. I don’t want them to end up experiencing homelessness, and I don’t want to escalate this to the police if I can help it. From what I have gathered from dealing with management for months, they are not in a city program and their family is unwilling to help, so I am at a loss as to what our options are. Management’s only option at this time is a suggestion to move. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Seeking advice on how to address very loud music at Harvard Towers in Mount Pleasant. We own a house nearby and when the weather gets warm, the music starts blasting. And it’s not occasional loud music, it’s almost everyday and sometimes at all hours of the night. We are fans of the selection (!) but it is very loud, disruptive, and entirely disrespectful to their neighbors. (more…)
