“Some retail news from Trinidad, Montello Market is making steady progress towards opening in the former Jabbo’s Compack Market space at 1613 Montello Avenue NE (Closed Late Summer 2025)
The building facade is now yellow and they retained the two Christopher Lynch murals and original Jabbo’s signage along Holbrook Terrace NW.
A gentleman inside said they were aiming to be open by December 1st, 2025 at the latest, likely sooner though.”

3515 Connecticut Ave, NW opened here in 2017 before that the space was home to Yogiberry and I believe this was the bagel place back in the day.
Thanks to Paige for sending word about the European Wax Center closing in the once vibrant Sam’s Park and Shop. Though the parking lot still flourishes! Well not for everyone…
Anyway, maybe Wonder will save the day…
