Shira reports:
“The Jamba Juice at Dupont Circle is closed with paper on the windows. You can see the remnants of the old Ben and Jerry’s peaking out from behind!
Also, Barry’s Bootcamp is right next door, and apparently they have a juice bar inside. Who knew? One of the trainers told me that the Jamba Juice is going to be a poke place.”
STAY TUNED.

hahaha thanks to Harrison for sending:
“Looks like 7-11 on 19th between L and M is going through a remodel. Trying to keep up with Wawa?”

Welp, when in Rome. When in Rome.
Thanks to a reader for sending from the Georgia Ave Walmart Uptown.
Da’amn. From Mr. Yogato:
“After ten glorious years, Mr. Yogato will be retiring in October. Although he is sad, he is looking for the next “Charlie Bucket” to continue the legacy of scrumptious frozen yogurt and irritating trivia. Mr. Yogato loves this store and, because he really wants to see it live on, he will sell it to a worthy yogurt enthusiast for $1. Email [email protected] if interested!”

“Dear PoPville,
I’m wondering if any of your other readers have had trouble with the Sugar Shack on 9th Street not sticking to their advertised hours (they are supposed to open at 6:30). This morning [Sunday] I tried to go get donuts at 7:50, and the shop was still dark and the door was locked. (more…)

Shoelution opened around January/February of this year.
Comfort One did not waiver.
Side note: Looks like that consignment store that used to be between the two closed too.

In February Ravi Shankar the previous owner of Tennis Zone passed away. In May Tennis Zone Plus reopened under the ownership of Jose R. Reyes. I’m told they have a “large inventory of Tennis Racquets, Tennis Shoes, and accessories” and are “the only brick and mortar Tennis Store in DC.”

Thanks to a reader for passing on:
“Everlane, indicates an incoming DC showroom. There’s a solid chance they haven’t secured a lease yet but any scuttlebutt on a possible location? Really hoping I don’t have to trek to Georgetown for this…”
I haven’t heard anything, have you guys? (more…)

Thanks to bird for sending the update:
“Capital One cafe is coming soon to the corner of 7th and H NW. This is the former location of Fudruckers. The Cafe seems to be a combination bank, Internet cafe and Peet’s Coffee.”
