“Third time is the charm with this car. Last time I had my wheels stolen it was twice back to back and now it’s been a bit more than a year.”

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting in Northwest.

On Friday, October 25, 2024, at approximately 5:47 p.m., an officer of the Fourth District was patrolling in the 3700 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest, when they heard the sounds of gunshots. The officer responded to the 800 block of Quincy Street, Northwest, and located an adult male, unconscious and not breathing, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

I’d like to give a shout out to the DC Police Department (in Shaw). On Saturday night, near the north entrance of the Shaw Metro station, about 20 feet from me, someone pulled out a gun and shot it in the air. The group of three individuals then ran away. The police arrived on the scene within one minute of the incident. (more…)

Our car has been located (totaled) in SE, but our cats are missing. All we care about at this time is finding the cats. We have filed reports with DC and Prince George’s County police, DC and Maryland animal control, the Humane Rescue Alliance, and Next Door/Facebook/Reddit. We are currently canvassing NE and SE DC and putting up fliers, but any additional help —or simply prayers—would be greatly appreciated.”

“A dog stolen off a boat in Southeast has been recovered and MPD detectives continue to search for the suspect in the dog’s theft.

On Friday, October 11th, 2024, at approximately 9:00pm, officers responded to the 100 block of Potomac Avenue, Southeast for reports of a theft. Once on scene, officers discovered that a boat had been broken into and a dog was taken. (more…)
