6 People Shot including a 5 Year Old Boy 6:12pm Friday “Vehicle of Interest Sought in an Assault With Intent to Kill (Gun) Offense: 6200 Block of Dix Street, Northeast”

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle of interest in reference to an Assault With Intent to Kill (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, March 6, 2020, in the 6200 Block of Dix Street, Northeast

At approximately 6:12 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located four adult males suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds. A short time later, Prince George’s County Fire Department reported to MPD that an adult female and a 5 year-old juvenile male sought treatment at one of their fire stations for non-life threatening gunshot wounds. “Shooting in the 900 Block of Randolph Street, NE. Lookout for a B/M driving a black vehicle last seen fleeing the 4000 block of 10th Street, NE.”

Alan Henney reported:

“CHILD SHOT— 10th St and Quincy St NE-DC in the University Heights Neighborhood (near CUA). 12-year-old boy shot in the thigh/femur area. He has good vitals, en route now to a trauma center.”

Huge Police Response in Columbia Heights Outside DC USA around 7:15pm Last Night

“7 police cars stopped a minivan that they are searching and arresting woman driving it.”

Update from MPD: “4D was conducting an investigation into a possible carjacking near 14th and Perry. Officers in 3D saw the car driving near Target and stopped it, arresting the driver. Ultimately, it turned out to not be a carjacking but just a Theft/Stolen Auto.”

Shooting at 14th and V Street, NW (again) around 1am Last Night – “As of this morning, there is still dried blood on the sidewalk.”

Update from another reader: “It was on Quebec near my house. About 10 shots (loud!), and a white car sped away. At least one victim.”

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Monday, March 2, 2020, in the 700 block of Quebec Place, Northwest.

At approximately 2:59 pm, members of the Fourth District responded to the listed location for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 24 year-old Malik Brown, of Northwest, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by sending a text message to 50411.”

Three Shot around 7pm near the Dave Thomas Circle last night, “offenders were arrested”

“On March 1, 2020, members of the Fifth District responded to the 100 block of New York Avenue NE for the report of a shooting. Officers located two adult males in a vehicle in the 1400 block of First Street NE suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. As officers were rendering aid to the two victims a third adult male was located at a gas station at the intersection of Florida Avenue NE and P Street NE. The third male was also suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. All three of the males sustained serious, but not life threatening injuries.

During the course of the investigation a semi-automatic handgun was located and the offenders were arrested. (more…)

Two Juveniles Shot in Shaw on Rhode Island Ave Sunday Afternoon

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Sunday, March 1, 2020, in the 600 block of S Street, Northwest.

At approximately 2:08 pm, members of the Third District responded to the listed location for the report of sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead. Additionally, officers located a second juvenile male victim in the 600 block of Rhode Island Avenue, Northwest, suffering from a gunshot wound. The second victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The decedent has been identified as 13 year-old Malachi Lukes, of Northwest, DC. (more…)

From MPD around 2:45am: “Shooting in the 2700 hundred block of Georgia Avenue NW. Lookout for Gray sedan occupied by (1) short B/M with glasses and (3) females. Unknown direction.

The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the 2700 block of Georgia Ave NW. An adult male is being treated at an area hospital for a non life threatening gunshot wound to the upper body.

Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area as we investigate.
