“On Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at approximately 8:10 pm the Metropolitan Police Department ShotSpotter recorded sounds of gunshots in the 3700 block of 9th St NW. Units responded and located shell casings in the area. A dark color SUV was observed leaving the area. Anyone with information or video is asked to contact MPD at 202-727-9099 or text 50411.”

“The Third District is currently investigating a shooting inside of a building in the 1100 block of Massachusetts Ave NW. An adult male is being treated at an area hospital for a gunshot wound to the torso.

Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area as we investigate.

While at the location officers located 15 shell casing in the block and there were no injuries or property damage reported. Any information please contact 202-727-9099″

2900 block of Connecticut Ave, NW next to the Zoo

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Thursday, November 26, 2020, in the 2900 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 9:29 am, members of the Second District responded to the listed location for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, members located an adult male inside an apartment suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Members located an additional adult male victim in the hallway, suffering from a gunshot wound. (more…)

“On Monday, November 23rd, 2020 at approximately 4:52 pm a shot spotter 911 call was generated and Fourth District Officers were dispatched to the 6300 Block of 7th Street NW. During the canvass, officers located shell casings and property damage at the scene.
