From 3 Stars Brewing Company:

“We are celebrating our 6 Year Anniversary with an epic party at the brewery. We will have DJ’s, live music, local vendors plus a killer lineup of collabs, new beers, and taproom exclusives. The tap list will be released in the next couple weeks, but you know it will be super sick and laced with DIPAs, sours, stouts and some yet to be revealed awesomeness. This year we are adding a “can garden” featuring all of our new can releases and collabs. (more…)

“Update, per the Dock 79 resident newsletter:

Dacha will begin starting construction Tuesday 7/24/2018 and strive to have Phase 1 completed by Thanksgiving.

Fingers crossed!”

Anyone hear any updates about Logan Circle?

I’ve been itching for a Red Bear Brewing update since we first got word back in December. At that time we learned:

“Exciting news: NoMa will be getting a brewery in 2018! Red Bear Brewing will establish its first location, a 100-150-seat taproom, in the ground-floor retail space at Uline Arena next to the REI flagship store. The brewery, which expects to open its doors late next summer, was founded by three fellows from Washington State who now call the Washington, D.C., area home (one of them even lives in NoMa).”

Sounds like late summer may be a bit optimistic but glad to hear construction is about to start!

“Construction is just around the corner! So we decided to prep our space with some amazing window covers. Check them out! They’re pretty awesome!

Much more to come!” (more…)

April 28th from 7-11pm
Food Trucks People’s Bao and Timber Pizza

We are throwing an epic hip hop show and dropping some sick new beers/collabs on April 28th. Join us at the brewery for an evening celebrating everything hip hop. Mr. Lif & Akrobatik are The Perceptionists and they are headlining an amazing lineup of extremely talented artists including Ben Shorr, World of Light Media, Keenan Orr and DJ Smudge. We will also have art from local artists and food trucks on site to round out the evening. Tickets are going to be extremely limited and there are various ticket options to allow you to customize your experience. $15 General Admission gets you in the door and your first beer. You can pre-purchase 5 additional beer tickets to help you skip the beer line and spend more time with beers and less time waiting. Additionally, there is a VIP option that gets you in the door an hour early, a custom glass and a 4-pack of each of the collab releases to pick up at the end of the event (4 4-packs in total). The VIP experience is extremely limited and will sell out quickly, so don’t miss this awesome opportunity.”

“Our first can release for this weekend is a tribute to the legendary drum machine, the Roland 808. This was an instrumental component of the hip hop scene of the late 80s and early 90s. DDH DIPA with Azaaca, Amarillo, Citra and hit with Simcoe Lupulin Powder.”

“In honor of our 25th anniversary on Sunday we will be kicking off the weekend with an awesome tap takeover from DC Brau on Friday the 13th. Starting at 6pm we will be tapping the DC Brau Pills, El Hefe Speaks, Penn Quarter Porter, And the Corruption.”

I’ve spent many an hour drinking the one whilst in the other. Congrats to both of these institutions!

From an email:

“Bluejacket’s patio grill menu will launch this Thursday for the Nats season. The grill menu (plus a few breakfast sandwiches on special) is available starting at 9am on Thursday, 4/5.

We’re also debuting a brand-new Pilsner, Love Cats, in honor of the home opener. It is classic, crisp, clean and–in the northern German tradition–hop-forward, bone-dry, brisk and bitter. It is the perfect baseball beer, and eminently drinkable at 5% abv.

Love Cats is brewed exclusively with Pilsner Malt and Yakima Valley-grown Loral hops. Loral is a newer American varietal that shows classic, German-grown noble hop flavors (floral, earthy, spicy) accompanied by notes of dark fruit. Post-fermentation, this Pilsner is matured in tank for 4 weeks prior to service.

Then, on Friday 4/6/18, we will release cans of Love Cats for our weekly can release.”

Check out the grill menu after the jump. (more…)
