“Dear PoPville,

I have on a very good source that the Eagle bar is returning on Jan 22nd. My source tells me they will be at 1357 U Street NW.

My guess is it’s different owners than the folks who had the DC Eagle up to 2020 (which was in NE)… looking this up led me down an interesting rabbit hole on the ownership structure and relationship between the Eagle bars in different cities (apparently there is none!)

Anyway, fun news about another gay bar!”

Thanks to Bessie for sending on Friday: “The old Chicatana space has a new restaurant called “La Plaza Bar & Tapas” tonight is their opening!”
