Here are the previous best/let’s do this lists for – Carryouts, best Thai, best liquor stores, best Ramen, best Bars, best Indian and Pakistani, best Italian/Pizza/Deli, best Mexican/Salvadoran/Central/Cuban/Latin, best burgers/fries, best bakery/bagels, best Gyms, best Ethiopian , best Sushi, best bookstores, and best movie theaters.

Here’s another area that has changed pretty drastically over the years. What are your favorite sports these days? Anyone hit the new(ish) Game (above) in Adams Morgan? The new Walters down in Navy Yard? Or does it depend on the sport? Anyway, share some of your favorite spots – I’ll be following this one closely. Thanks!

Wine Bar from NYC will replace Drafting Table on 14th Street

Yesterday we learned that after 7 years this would be Drafting Table’s last week in Logan Circle.

Bisnow got the goods on who will replace them:

“Vin Sur Vingt signed a 2,200 SF lease at 1529 14th St. NW, where it will replace Drafting Table in the ground floor of an apartment building.”

The article also says the wine bar is “looking at areas from Mount Vernon Triangle to The Wharf to Bethesda.”

Vin Sur Vingt’s website says:

“We’ve turned the outside of Lou’s City Bar into a patio bar and beer garden and are doing a launch event this weekend with Bell’s. We’re adding tap lines, including up to 8 outside. This launch event with Bell’s will be the first in a series of beer-focused events on the patio throughout the summer.

Whoa, finally some action at a long time Horse’s Ass Award nominee (RIP State of the Union.) A new liquor license application says:

“DC Rabbit Hole LLC is opening Alice

A new Retailer’s Class C Tavern with a seating capacity of 225 and a Total Occupancy Load of 325. Rooftop Summer Garden on the second floor with 70 seats. Licensee is requesting an Entertainment Endorsement to include Dancing and Cover Charge inside the premises only.” (more…)

Rose All Day and Oysters at Midlands Monday; ANXO 2 Year Anniversary Party on Kennedy Street

“We are really excited to celebrate two years of our Kennedy St location this Monday, May 27th (Memorial Day).
