Around 10:20pm in Adams Morgan a reader asked: “Does anyone know what’s going on in #AdMo at the Line Hotel? This is the scene outside my apt, helicopters circling above and cops lined along Champlain St NW.”

And a few subsequent responses: “Police had a shooting suspect holed up in the apartment building next to the Line. Unclear where the shooting happened or how it resolved though.”

And as of 10am Sunday morning: “Follow up – cops are still there waiting for a judge to sign a warrant. The shooting did happen in the building.”

“Follow up to the follow up – they got a warrant and SWAT pulled him out”

Tonight, 4/4/26, at approximately 8:30 pm, there will be a 15-minute fireworks display on the Anacostia River in the vicinity of Navy Yard.

This presentation is a part of the Cherry Bloss Festival Petalpalooza Celebration.

Please do not be alarmed.”

“Dear PoPville,

Tough morning in Shaw –
Metro driver told me that a car ran a red light and collided with another and the driver swerved to avoid and ran into ambar. Driver is injured and at the hospital along with a passenger who went through a window… horrible. Thank god it was 7 am or there would be a lot of dead or gravely injured people.”
