“The OUC is aware that some 911 calls in DC are not being connected to call takers or being dropped upon being answered. If you are unable to get through on 911 please dial 202-265-9100 to be connected to a 911 call taker.”

This morning we broke the news about Buffalo Billiards coming back to DC on 14th Street in the old Source Theatre space. Now we got all the details from the owners:

“At a time when many restaurants and nightlife venues are scaling back or closing, one of Washington’s most beloved establishments is making a confident return. Buffalo Billiards, the iconic bar and entertainment venue that served the city for 25 years in Dupont Circle, will reopen in Spring 2026 at 1835 14th Street NW. (more…)

From MPD’s Supervisory Public Affairs Specialist, Tom Lynch:

“On Friday, September 5, 2025, at approximately 2:58 p.m., Third District officers were flagged down at the intersection of 17th and S Streets NW in reference to a hit and run. Officers canvassed for the suspect vehicle, located it, and performed a traffic stop. Ultimately, the driver was placed under arrest for Counterfeit Tags. During the on-scene investigation, officers determined a passenger in the vehicle was the driver at the time of the hit and run. Officers have applied for an arrest warrant for the passenger in reference to the hit and run. (more…)
