Update: “Dear PoPville,

My wife and I ate at El Presidente tonight (fantastic) and parked in the Batley/La Cosecha garage (1270 4th St NE), which I believe is the garage referenced. It still offers three hours of free parking.

We entered at 7:35 p.m. and left at 8:41 p.m., and were not charged when we scanned our ticket on exit.” (more…)

“a red-tailed hawk catch and eat a rat directly outside of my apartment in Pleasant Plains! I’ve seen this hawk before but this is the first time I’ve seen it actually catching something. This was right off Georgia by the Banneker rec center and Howard.”

If you spot a hawk, any interesting wildlife or celebrity skateboarder Tony Hawk, and get a good photo please send in an email where you spotted them to [email protected]. Thanks! Hawks around Town is made possible by a generous grant from the Ben and Sylvia Gardner foundation.
