A regular reported to me via email last night around 8pm: “Biergarten Haus is closing at the end of tonight. Rumored to reopen in September. But….September is skeptical…. Haven’t seen an official notice yet.”
Still no official word on their social media but Fritz Hahn tweeted around 10pm: “Breaking: Biergarten Haus is closing tonight, after 13 years on H Street. Staff found out today. Am told there’s a chance it reopens Sept. 1, but that seems iffy.
This is purely a business decision, has nothing to do with the lease.” (more…)

Ed. Note: I didn’t see any police reports of a shooting so it’s possible, fortunately, nobody was hit/injured. Updates if/when more is known.

“23rd and L st NW by GW circle. Guy turned into one way incoming traffic on L st.”

Update: “this is my daughter’s car, she got assaulted and robbed leaving her job early this morning. We are desperate trying to gather as much information, witnesses, doorbell camera footage.”
