“Dear PoPville,

If you haven’t checked out Steam Valve Espresso’s new “coffee pop up” in Right Proper brewing’s space in Brookland at 10th and Girard, it’s great, especially with the nice weather. Coffee is good, pastries are good, the staff are very nice, there’s lots of room inside and out to sit and work, and WiFi. Even a little “play area” for kids. It’s open 8-3 every day! (more…)

I am Munchie, your soon to be best buddy, ready to add some tail-wagging fun to your life! I don’t believe it’s possible to be too large to be a lap dog. My heart is big, and I love giving cuddles to humans large and small. Plus I am told I have the softest fur on earth. There’s no need to worry about being lonely when I’m around! I am a real charmer with a zest for playing with other dogs and humans, but I am also good at playing with toys on my own. On top of that, I do well in my crate. I’m a champ in the car, and I also know the words “sit”, “out”, and “no”. While I self identify as a miniature Saint Bernard, behavioral analysis indicates a fair amount of muppet in my ancestral mix. I’m not above dramatic flops and facial expressions to make sure everyone understands me.

So, what do you say? Let’s make some memories and fetch some fun together. I am looking forward to meeting you, so apply today!

Lafayette has been through a lot, but he doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He’s a simple guy with simple wants who would make a perfect laid-back companion. He’s relatively low-energy, sleeping most of the day, preferably near you. His favorite bed is a cardboard box. He loves to be brushed and pet. He occasionally wants to snuggle, tolerates being held, and is becoming more affectionate all the time as he learns to trust humans again.

Lafayette is partially blind, but he is able to navigate spaces with ease. He’s not a jumper, so he won’t be jumping on your kitchen counter. He doesn’t play with toys, but he’s very curious and likes to open drawers and closet doors to explore inside. Lafayette would do best in a small, quiet home. He tolerates his canine foster sibling, but would probably be happier without a barking dog around. Lafayette is a unique and insanely sweet fellow who is so deserving of a second chance. Could that be with you? He sure hopes so. Apply today!
