I have a 5 year old son with special needs. We had his IEP meeting August 9th where he was switched from a general classroom to a special education classroom. We were told that DC would be in touch with telling us his placement of school, since our local neighborhood school does not have special ed classrooms. Today is 8/29, the 4th day of school – and my kiddo still does not have a placement. (more…)

“The Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) announced that it has started work to repair and upgrade an inoperable electric vehicle (EV) charging station in Ward 7 that, when complete, will have higher charging capacity and be available to the public 24/7. “Dear PoPville,

So I was stopped outside Maxwell in Shaw and there was this woman there with dark hair who had the most fire nails I’ve ever seen. I am a straight guy, so I really never notice that kind of thing, but these were so elaborate I felt like I had to say something.

Anyway, we walked and talked for a couple blocks before going our separate ways. She told me all about how she was going to get a new set of nails with her work nickname on them.
