“Dear PoPville,
Never thought I would post a Missed Connection, but unfortunately I picked the wrong seat at the patio bar at Grazie Nonna on Thursday night (August 22). (more…)

Henry is all love and sweetness – he’s a gentle boy who is slowly learning that he can expect attention and love from the humans around him! Henry loves to settle at his foster’s feet while she’s working and has recently learned the joy of belly rubs.
Henry loves other dogs of all sizes and has no problem greeting other dogs while on his leash. True to his beagle nature, Henry loves to go on walks and sniffaris, and will spend as much time outside exploring his new surroundings as you’ll let him! He doesn’t seem to be a stereotypical talkative beagle and is easy going around new people.
Henry is one smart cookie; he is doing well with house training and is working on understanding the words “sit and “stay”. He is gaining confidence every day with all of the new city sounds in DC. Henry also loves his crate, and will nap in there during the day with the door open.

Chicky is a majestic, fluffy cat with the manners of a true lady. Her foster parents’ apartment is her kingdom, and she loves to survey each room and investigate any new item they bring in with a careful sniff. Through the glass sliding door on their balcony, she observes the neighborhood birds and chatters at them when they get a little too close to her domain. She is also a skilled hunter of the tassel at the end of her fishing pole toy, and her lightning fast reflexes mean that it’s never long before she successfully pounces on her target.
When she’s not chasing her “prey,” Chicky is fond of a cozy lap snuggle. She’s very particular about the seating arrangement, and her humans often have to move their legs and arms into several different configurations before Chicky finds a perfectly comfortable spot to lounge in. Once she’s settled in, Chicky purrs nonstop and rests her paws gently on their laps so that she can have a nice snooze.
Chicky is a queenlike beauty — once she gets to know you, she will be such a loving, snuggly companion. After all, a warm lap makes the perfect throne! Apply today!

The person does not live in the neighborhood, and the vehicle is left for weeks sometime months in the same spot with no movement. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Without warning, DDOT removed a dying tree from our tree box and in the process destroyed the brickwork that bordered the tree box area. This brickwork design is used for all the tree boxes along the 1000 k st ne block. A previous resident paid for all these designs. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
We have solar power and produce more than we use. There is some meter glitch with Pepco and they started sending backdated bills for estimated usage (pre-solar!) a couple of weeks ago in excess of $500. Can your readers help advise?”
