Your chance to give DDOT feedback on Dockless Bikes

From DDOT:

“The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) launched a new survey to get feedback about the dockless vehicle demonstration project that is currently being piloted in the District.

The survey is designed to get a better understanding of how the program fits in the District’s existing bikesharing system and the profile of current dockless bikeshare riders. The survey asks respondents to evaluate the program and provide their perspective as riders or non-riders, respectively. The survey will be open to the public until June 1, 2018.

“This survey is an important part of the next phase of our evaluation of the dockless program,” said DDOT Director Jeff Marootian. “We want to hear feedback from everyone who will be impacted as we consider the future of mobility options in the District.”

In April, DDOT announced that the dockless pilot program will continue through August. The extended program gives DDOT an opportunity to collect additional data during the high season for bike riding that is associated with the warmer months. During this period, DDOT will continue to work with bike operators to find solutions to the concerns raised by the community during the initial pilot.

Feedback on the demonstration project can be submitted via email to [email protected].”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
