“CONFIRMED A Shooting_1510 hrs_100 Block of Q St N.W._LOF 4 B/m’s 5’2-5’7 DO NOT TAKE ACTION CALL 911”

From @TimClarkANC5C05 (via @ShawChica):

“Triple shooting on Q street after dice game. Victims taken to hospital with police escort.”

  • Craig

“1510 hrs” is 3:10 pm, not 1:10 pm.

  • Mike

D.C. sent alerts at 3:37 p.m. and 3:42 p.m., both citing 3:10 p.m. as the time of the shootings.

On the bright side, if you’re going to get shot DC is probably one of the best places to get it since the doctors here are pros at patching up gunshot wounds on a daily basis. I wouldn’t want to get shot (at all) but certainly not in a place where you’d be the doctors first attempt! Just a lil’ silver lining for ya.

This is why you should not let dice (craps) games go on near your house. They just lead to trouble, if not from the games themselves, then from related activities that will occur almost inevitably, it seems. Call the cops and harass them before you get caught in the crossfire. I know this probably makes me a conservative and a racist ***hole, but maybe I am both of the above. At least my street is safe for children to play on.

  • Well, if every time, Snot Boogie stole the money, why’d you let him play?

    Got to. It’s America, man.

    • +1

First thing that came to my mind, too!

  • Sore loser.

I applaud the dice community for helping to gentrify the community by shooting themselves.

I guess they were playing with loaded dice.

Was Ashy Larry one of the perpetrators?

I live less than a block from where this took place – hearing gunshots at 3 in the afternoon is not my idea of funny. Plus, this happened right behind the newly-redone park on FL and 1st – there were lots of families there that afternoon and some innocent bystander could have easily gotten hurt.

Call me a buzzkill or overly-sensitive or whatever, but I don’t find any of this funny.

I can only imagine this happened at the open air gambling table that is set up near that corner. Homies be domino’ing, dic’ing. I drove by there an hour before on my way out of town and they were all getting into that Easter Sunday gambling. Way to keep it real I guess.

I was walking home from Big Bear with my brother and my girlfriend. We were on the corner of 1st and Q and thought to ourselves “don’t be the white people who hit the deck when firecrackers go off in the projects.” Then we saw people running away… we went with them. I’m glad we weren’t shot! Next time we’ll listen to our inner racists and stay safe.
