Dear PoPville,
Some potential news about the former fro-yo place in the upstairs of Union Station by the Pret (which was speculated to become a Burger King Express). I saw some workers working on the space yesterday, and I asked them what was going to go there. They said that it would be a “Tropicana,” and that it would be temporary. This is a bit confusing to me— does this mean it will be a juice stand? (Are there freestanding Tropicana dispensaries?) Also, there are now a bunch of Tropicana ads in the Union Station Metro, so maybe the old fro-yo spot will just be ad space until something new comes in. Just thought I’d pass this news on!

i'm guessing they put in some good sound buffering windows? fl ave is LOUD.
^yes. The only danger at this location is being run over by a motorist from Maryland.
Faison's writeups make me crazy. And not in a good "I'm crazy for buying this house!" way.
The Dancing Crab's commercials have to be the worst I've ever seen. The owners saying,...
God you people are boring. Why not more chatter about their footwears?
Tropicana is typically distributed by train (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juice_Train) so I could imagine a pop-up that explains the history and sells its products would be a good fit at Union Station!
With that said, maybe it’s just a place named Tropicana. Or the workers are confused (remember when the folks working on the Z-Burger in CH were adamant it was going to be named Zebra Girl?)
Tropicana currently has a giant ad takeover of 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. I suspect this temporary space is related to a similar campaign for Union Station.
Maybe it’s going to be a small, local version of the Tropicana Casino.
Club Tropicana – drinks are free. Fun and sunshine – there’s enough for everyone
Tropicana Eatery possibly? the Caribean restaurant
