1911 9th Street, NW
Back in Oct. 2011 we learned that Toucan Boutique was closing at 1911 9th St, NW just south of U Street. We now know who’s moving into the space – Simon Vintage – featuring furniture and homegoods. Looking forward to checking them out. Will update when an opening date is announced.

Popville,
Thanks for the shout out about our little shop. We are now opened as of today, Decmember 10th. We are selling vintage (and some newer) furnishings as well as many other vintage items.
Ther is a plan to get rid of the white wrought iron gat, but probably not untill the summer.
We have a basic website up at simonvintage.com where you will see how Simon, miniature pinscher, ties into furniture…!
Pease stop in and say hello! Open 11 to 8 daily and noon to 8 weekends.
Are they repurposing that chihuahua? I wonder how that is a selling point to their vintage furniture and housegoods unless that is Simon and considered a *housegood*
For a second I thought a Homegoods was coming to the area and I literally gasped aloud at my desk. This will be very cool, but boy would a Homegoods be awesome.
