I have no problem with ultra modern but the design is just not on. Maybe it’s just a bad angle. This house should not be photographed from the front…
A good spot to put a novelty house. It’s not taking away from the plain facades of its neighbors, and it is probably great inside.
I like it, except for the wooden front porch. That looks out of place, but maybe it could be stained a gray/black color to fit in with the overall color palette.

I only wish the second floor window was emphasized more instead of being hidden behind the wood slates. I think it would give more balance to the design.
Regardless, I love that people are finally trying new and interesting architecture in DC. There are far too many nearly identical homes around here.
I think it is ugly, but since it doesn’t really detract from the houses next to it, I think this was a perfect place to attempt something different.
It’s a great little house stuck between a couple of uninteresting 2BR boxes. This was formerly one of the same. If someone tried to put a 3 story traditional house there it would have looked awful and out of place. glad to have this in the neighborhood. The house is essentially caddy-corner from Beau-Thai if people want to see it in person.

I like it a lot but a I think a little landscaping could go a long way to softening it’s current austere and barren look.
