18th, between Kenyon and Kilbourne. It’s incredibly sweet–our son wants a swing every time we pass.

This is also the tree that was a victim of assault with salt – someone drilled holes into the trunk and poured salt in and around the holes (you can see a few in this photo).

Oh someone will get injured and file a lawsuit. I would be surprised if they didn’t.
As an attorney, I would gladly defend the swing owners pro bono against any lawsuit. And I have loads of lawyer friends who would do the same. Sorry, we have to draw the line somewhere for society: people who provide complimentary swings to the community should be protected at all costs.
Thanks – glad you enjoy the swing. Will be in touch should a lawyer be necessary! We managed to chase away the tree attacker several times, so glad the community keeps loving the tree. He hasn’t been back since we put up the new swing.
Meanwhile, stick out for the little library that we’re constructing and stop by to swap books.
I’m sure there’ll be a disclaimer under that sign pretty soon!

I hope this swing stays and that none of the obvious things that we can all think of will happen to it: vandalized, someone is hurt/files suit, city forces them to take it down, ANC requires zoning variance for swing use, and so on and so on.
