  Is there any truth to the rumors that a new Unleashed pet store will also be going into NoMa? It would be really nice to not have to trek out to Petsmart every month.

    Yes, Unleashed will be going into 1200 First Street NE (the same building as CVS). It’s just outside the NoMa borders, but Metro Mutts is also close by (5th & H NE). They have friendly service and high quality products.

  As a NoMa resident I’m happy to see any new places opening! Especially one that I’d hope would be open on the weekend. Tynan (down the street) always seems busy and since they do their own thing with happy hour I’m hoping that they can coexist peacefully…

  The Safeway in the Hechinger Mall has a Starbucks. That’s both NE and (basically) H St.

  I’m usually pretty excited about developments like these, but this sucks. I freakin’ love Tynan. Hope this isn’t the death knell for them.

  Starbucks isn’t the right fit for H Street, but it’s perfect for NoMa. All in all, very good news.
