If you have any fun or interesting animal/pet photos please shoot me an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and what neighborhood you’re from or upload to the PoPville flickr pool with your pets name and neighborhood. I can’t guarantee I’ll get them all posted but I’ll do my best.

“Banjo—keeping Capitol Hill free of squirrels since aught-eleven.”

“Animal fix at old exec building”

“Chester, Adams Morgan”

Banjo, you are adorable, but your claim is completely false.
Chester is a heartbreaker!
I am happy to see Chester show up again. I love that dog.
Banjo looks adorable.
(but aught 11 isn’t possible, the aughts were 00-09, once you get to 10-19, its the teens)
Aught = zero. Aught 11 = 011 => 2011. More broadly, aught can now refer to the century rather than the decade.
Yes, aught = 0 as in the decade that are single digits (0-9).
Decades do not use a 3 digit assignation.
You won’t say this is the aught teens, you’ll say the teens.
You won’t say aught 20′s for 2022, you’ll say the 20′s.
This is not the aught century (that would be 2 millenia ago), it is the 21st.
** you above is not the personal you, but the general you (General U?)
+1.
(Except for “aught century”… the first century A.D./C.E. was preceded by the first century B.C./B.C.E.)
Ahh yes, my bad on the CE/BCE centuries duh.
It’s commonly been used to refer to the decade, but there’s no reason it can’t be repurposed. Aught is just a general term for zero. Plus, it was funny in the caption!
The picture of Banjo is great but I love them all!!! BTW, does Chester only have one eye?
Chester does only have one eye! He had an unfortunate run-in with a cat (he tried to like her in the face)
don’t mean to laugh, but your response was funny. He’s a sweety.
Chester needs a beer.
