For those who like the vision of All Souls neighborhood bar and restaurant hoping to come to the vacant space at 725 T St, NW, you can show your support this Wed. The folks at All Souls are trying to be good neighbors and have made many concessions including removing the outdoor patio and agreeing not to open until 5pm during the week.
If your schedule is flexible and you think All Souls will be a great addition to the neighborhood you can show your support:
All Souls protest hearing, Wednesday March 21st at 4pm. Located in the Reeves Building at 2000 14th St. (corner of 14th and U St), fourth floor.

Ever read a police report, especially when you were a victim or witness?
My spouse...
A lot has changed in this neighborhood since you lived here four years ago. Sure the area...
Just moved into my new condo in dc and it's been over two weeks and I still have not...
It's summertime, school is out and it's the weekend. Wife and I were comnig home last...
are you an investor/business partner?
We have amended our license application and withdrawn a request for outdoor seating and no, Prince of Petworth is not an investor or a partner.
Sorry to hear about no outdoor seating.
How did you come up with that name?
I’m an investor in the revitalization of the District of Columbia!
Did they totally remove the patio concept or just restrict the hours of its use?
I was at the last meeting with Myla Moss where the ANC officially threw their support behind All Souls’ ABRA application. The patio is no longer on the table.
I hate that these hearings seem to always be scheduled during standard 9-5 work hours!
You think that’s an accident?
I’m looking forward to a bar 3 blocks away from me. I’d love to see the building get a minor facelift though. Sketchy draws sketchy in our neighborhood, and the building/block has always been sketchy. Just having it home to a business helps though.
If you can’t attend, why not send a note of support to the ANC board? We did! You can email them all here:

Do you think it matters to them whether you live in the neighborhood or ANC area?
If only the neighborhood hearings would force themselves to adhere to a 5PM rule … maybe more people who work and require nice little oases like these could attend.
I’m a huge supporter of All Souls! Much needed revitalization of a eye sore block. David will be a great neighbor!
I really hope they get their license. I would be a great improvement for the area.
PoP, before suggesting people attend the hearing to show their support be aware that the ABC Board hearing is not a public forum. My guess is only the applicant, his attorney and parties to the protest may speak before the board. The ABC Board will not be asking for a show of hands or comments from the audience. Of course, a good turnout always sends a message and I am sure the opponents will be there in force.
How long does it normally take for ABRA to issue a ruling? Immediate/days/weeks?
Really sad the patio isn’t working out. Such a great location, not to mention increased eyes/ears out at night could reduce the drug deals, drunks and break ins on that street.
Way to go NIMBYs!!!! You just lowered property rates and increased crime in our neighborhood. So proud.
+1 from another nearby neighbor
Just look at Columbia Heights to see what some bars and businesses can do to invigorate a neighborhood. 6 years ago you would not walk on 14th after dark now the whole are is bustling.
