  • Indication of dance floors and alcohol takes me back to the late 80s/early 90s when this was The Fifth Column nightclub.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of/been to a venue that mixes art with clubbing.

    • Anyone remember the band CHEMLAB? They were affiliated somehow with the Fifth Column folks and their tagline was “f*ck art, let’s kill”. Almost makes me wonder if there’s some connection.

    • Back then, the Fifth Column hosted Atlas on Sunday nights for the gay boys. Oh, to be young and shirtless and slutty again . . . .

  • So, in other words, a nightclub.

  • I don’t think this is going to be a museum at all. It’s just the trade and company’s name. It’s going to be a nightclub as it has been for the last two decades with artwork on the walls.

  • So, an educational nightclub.

  • I don’t really like that it’s called a museum. I hope it doesn’t confuse people who look for museums in google maps search results or something.

  • That property reeks of feces. Can stone stain permanently?

  • This is just going to be another skeezy nightclub, just like what has always been there. Wasn’t it The Bank for a while and then something else money themed. I guess the era of money is over, now we are naming our night clubs after museums.

    (captcha: has madonnas)

  • An agent registered it with DCRA on 5/22/2009 as a for-profit venture.

DCRA File No. L43907 if you want to pursue this any further before the ABC hearing.

  • They should build something like that up on Georgia Ave. Now that 14th st is saturated, it’s the last frontier.

  • It’s going to be a gay nightclub. That is all, move along now.
