“As we pulled up to the stop sign (22nd and Fairlawn SE.) my wife and I looked at one another and said, almost simultaneously, “sweet city sign.”
According to the next-door neighbor, who lives in a wonderful house built by the works’ original owner and who wandered by while I was laying on the sidewalk trying to get the shot with both the cool fence and the sweet sign in the same frame, the iron works was a functioning business until a couple of years ago, when the owners wanted to sell for more than the market would bear. The works themselves were condemned and demolished, but the office remains almost intact, looking like the owners just pulled out the day-before-yesterday, phones on desks and keys and business cards displayed.”

We’ve judged the building but never the sign. What is “European Style Residences”? What I imagine is that the shower heads don’t have a hook and the cord is really short… I guess they could have bidets as well? I also imagine lots of smoking and some really good 2 hour long lunches.
What do you think they mean by “European Style Residences”?

This was at the corner of 11th and Florida. When I was a few blocks away I saw a spot that offered prayers for 5 bucks and I was like, “damn I’m not going to be able to beat that.” So I paid my 5 bucks and prayed that it would stop raining, then I saw this sign. And then it rained all day Sunday, rough weekend.

This fire alarm stopped me dead in my tracks. Is it just me or is this super cool? I think it’s the font…

This amazing shot is from Nestum23. I aspire to one day taking a photo as cool as this one…

This is beyond ridiculous. Isn’t everyone on twitter and facebook now…

This cool shot was taken by hellomarkers! on H Street, NE.

“I just barely noticed this sign the other day- only because it is on a burned-out church. It’s on the 6900 block of Chillum Place NE. (near Kansas Ave)”
So good! Dang, could’ve been a good caption contest…

Above is from Florida Ave. Sadly, the store is no longer open.
Another bonus one today from a reader who saw this on in Joplin, Kansas.
