Update from a reader:
“I was told that the garden beds the willows are in are very shallow so every few years they start to die off. One was really sick and not looking great and another fell over in one of the recent storms so they went ahead and cut them all down. The were replanted a couple of years ago when one of the theater houses had finished its latest remodel. No word on if they will be replanted or if something else will be replanted in its place.”

Well this is curious. G. says the sign just went up Friday. Double Up only opened up here back in July. Previously the space was home to the old Hiraya.
