Man that would be brutal to have your window knocked on so many times that you had to post a sign. I guess the buzzer must’ve been broken right? Why else would folks knock on someone’s window?

I guess they must be diehard Express fans.
Ed. Note: There is a chance I may have taken a photo of this sign before but I couldn’t find it on the site. So I consulted with a friend who said if I can’t remember it most people won’t remember it either. But I do apologize if I already posted this one. I swear I’ll quit sniffing glue on Monday.

Anyone like this name? Are they trying too hard to sound like a New York neighborhood? It’s growing on me. I don’t think there will ever be a neighborhood name as cool as Petworth but this seems to be a good effort.

you have to write that your house is occupied on your mailbox.

It is amazes me that something as simple as garbage proves to be such a challenge. I mean we all get garbage cans yeah? So why the hell would people be throwing massive bags of household trash in a public can anyway? I just don’t get this but obviously it is a serious problem. I can’t believe it’s gotten to the point where the city is considering removing the public trash can. That’s one thing that we probably need more of. So who has a theory on why folks throw household garbage in public trash cans?

Thanks to a reader up in North Country for sending this phenomenal church sign. Amazing.
“So what church do you attend? You know the one off Sherman Circle – The House of God Which is the Church of the Living God the Pillar and Ground of the Truth Without Controversy, Inc.”
I’m exhausted just typing it. Now that I think about it I’m pretty sure there is some controversy…

I don’t why but I thought this was a funny sign. I realize they are saying that just because the cafe is located in a gym doesn’t mean you have to be a member of the gym to enjoy the cafe. I guess it’s a good thing. So anyone from the community know if it is a good cafe. Good to know there is free wifi. Incidentally, the other sign said if you join now the summer is free. So anyone a member of Mint in Adams Morgan? Is this a good gym? Sign for the free summer membership after the jump. (more…)

I thought this was a pretty wild sign in the window of the shop for sale on U Street near 9th. The scene looks ordinary but if you notice there is a little drawing in the center of the window just above the ReMax for sale sign. (Close up of the drawing after the jump.) It’s a pretty cool drawing of a nice dining area. However, I do find it hard to believe that someone would be looking to purchase property and see a drawing and have a eureka moment of – hey maybe a nice little restaurant would work great here… It is a pretty cool drawing though. Would be awesome if it became a reality. Drawing after the jump. (more…)
