(Washington, DC) – The DC Sports and Entertainment Commission will host the first ever Ethiopian Sports Federation festival in the District June 29th through July 7th at RFK Stadium. This annual fundraising event will honor influential Ethiopians in recognition of their contributions to their country as well as celebrate sports and cultural heritage.
“We are very proud to help bring the first Ethiopian soccer tournament and festival to RFK Stadium,” said Erik A. Ed. Note: There is a chance I may have taken a photo of this sign before but I couldn’t find it on the site. So I consulted with a friend who said if I can’t remember it most people won’t remember it either. But I do apologize if I already posted this one. I swear I’ll quit sniffing glue on Monday.

Anyone like this name? Are they trying too hard to sound like a New York neighborhood? It’s growing on me. I don’t think there will ever be a neighborhood name as cool as Petworth but this seems to be a good effort.

It is amazes me that something as simple as garbage proves to be such a challenge. I mean we all get garbage cans yeah? So why the hell would people be throwing massive bags of household trash in a public can anyway? I just don’t get this but obviously it is a serious problem. I can’t believe it’s gotten to the point where the city is considering removing the public trash can. That’s one thing that we probably need more of. So who has a theory on why folks throw household garbage in public trash cans?
