Holy cow, a free recorded message? Have you ever heard of a better incentive? I’ve read some stories about this tough housing market and folks sweetening the deal with free cars, HDTVs even boats. But damn, a free recorded message…what’s this market coming to? Next they’ll be offering free fliers…
This is the place next to Beveragemania. I’ve been wondering for a while what it was going to be. To be honest I guess I’m a bit saddened to learn it is going to be a Seafood & Things. I just don’t find the name very inspiring. It’s also pretty funny that they are called Seafood & Things and have a picture of a pizza. I wonder if all the “things” will be food related. I guess going vague gives one a bit of flexibility. Maybe it’ll be a nice surprise and the food will be terrific. What do you guys think of the name?
This is one way to deal with it. How would you deter flower thieves? Is this a real problem? Who the hell steals flowers anyway?

We’ve all seen tons of the presidential signs around town but I thought this one was awesome with a blown up photo above it with the candidate and resident.
It so saddens me that often the sweetest city signs are for stores/restaurants now defunct. I have no doubt that Red’s Fish & Chicken was once a spot not to be reckoned with…
Greater Goods at 1626 U Street has a couple of awesome green roofs over its two bay windows. Ed. Note: I plan on doing a post on green roofs in the near future so stay tuned for more details.
