“I am very happy to team up with my dad in this new culinary project,” said Miguel Guerra. “We wanted to do something different and special yet highlighting our cultural roots. Donuts are comforting, tasty, and as varied as people are, so we thought this would be fun. Our small batch process allows us to concentrate on taste and play with more creative local and native ingredients and flavors. These donuts are one-of-a-kind.”

Currently operating in a ghost kitchen in the Union Market District, Donisima is a modern artisanal donut shop taking the classic donut to a completely new level. The donuts are made with the finest ingredients and feature pleasing designs. The pastries will come in different varieties including cake, brioche, crullers and many more.

“Dear PoPville,

I wanted to warn the other young women of the Dupont Circle/ lower AdMo area (approx. New Hampshire and Riggs) of a man that assaulted me, and other women in the area over the weekend.

He came up from behind me on foot, grabbed my butt, tried to grab under my jacket, feeling around for my belt line/waist area. It lasted all of about 45 seconds before I started screaming loud enough that people noticed and he walking off by foot. (more…)
