Whoa, somehow missed this but Indigo shared an update for their plans to open a 2nd spot at North Cap and Bryant Street, NW a few weeks ago:

“We wanted to provide an update on our plans to expand to Bloomingdale. While we were met with tremendous enthusiasm and support from many, we also encountered some opposition that led us to the difficult decision of withdrawing our application to open Indigo’s second location. (more…)

Botiwalla — Chai Pani Restaurant Group’s fast-casual concept with four other locations — will also debut in D.C. at Upton Place.

I’m told: “Botiwalla is a celebration of India’s late night street food scene – with its craveworthy chaats and sizzling grilled meats. There’s a good bit of crossover on Chai Pani and Botiwalla menus…we’re hoping to open by the end of the year.” (more…)
