Unfortunately the plans for a Dangerously Delicious Pies location didn’t work out but there is some good news to report on the space!
From an email: “Zeke’s Coffee has signed a lease for the ground floor at 4602 14th Street NW, it’s third D.C. location, and is planning on opening the doors sometime this fall.”
Stay tuned.

The Bull Bar & Grill, “modern sport bar”, only opened in February. Thanks to Corey for sending:

Update: Owner has been found, thanks all.
“Dear PoPville,
I was biking on 13th and Crittenden St NW when I got bit by a dog. The owner was a man walking two large black Rottweilers and said I could pass but the dog lunged at me and bit the back of my calf. I’m trying to find any information on the owner so I can verify the dogs vaccination status (specifically for rabies). Does anyone have any information?”
If so please email me at [email protected] and I’ll pass on to OP. Thanks.

“Dear PoPville,
We are writing in response to the Dance Loft on 14/Heleos press release that was circulated on PoPville on April 11, 2022. We represent a group of 16th St Heights neighbors who are opposed to this development as currently proposed. We’re writing this letter to clarify that our objection to this project has been mischaracterized. We are not objecting to affordable housing. What we are objecting to is the size, density and scope of the project: (more…)

From the Bull Bar & Grill (planning on opening by the end of this month):
“Giving the community a place to feel at home continues to be tradition to the Cruz family lead by Maria who started her entrepreneurial journey in 1980’s NW Washington DC on 14th street in the Columbia Heights Neighborhood. Opening “Tienda La Union” then soon “Salon de Belleza”, Maria’s businesses did more than provide needed services; it was also representation for a community migrating to the district from Central-America, especially from her home of El Salvador. Years later, blessed by her success, “La Libertad” a restaurant and bar she added to her catalog of business ventures cemented her commitment to the area as a place where local businesses can thrive and prosper.
