“Dear PoPville,

I was biking on 13th and Crittenden St NW when I got bit by a dog. The owner was a man walking two large black Rottweilers and said I could pass but the dog lunged at me and bit the back of my calf. I’m trying to find any information on the owner so I can verify the dogs vaccination status (specifically for rabies). Does anyone have any information?”

“Dance Loft on 14 Develops New Performing Arts Facility With Net Zero Energy and Affordable Housing”

“Dance Loft on 14 has partnered with developer Heleos to build a new state-of-the-art home for the performing arts nonprofit within a mixed-use building that also boasts net zero energy targets and affordable housing. The 124,000 sq foot structure will secure a permanent home for Dance Loft in Ward 4, catalyze business on upper 14th street, and add sorely needed affordable housing to D.C. 28 year-old arrested and charged with alleged shooting of an MPD officer near 14th and Quincy St, NW

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with Intent to Kill a Metropolitan Police Officer while Armed (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, January 23, 2022, in the 1300 block of Spring Road, Northwest.

At approximately 8:58 pm, on-duty, uniformed MPD officers were on patrol in the 1300 block of Spring Road, Northwest. The officers attempted to make contact with an adult male at this location. As an officer was exiting the vehicle, the suspect fired a handgun multiple times towards the officers. The suspect then fled the scene. An officer was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening gunshot wounds. (more…)
