“Yesterday, our fare enforcement initiative led to the arrest of 9 individuals & 100+ citations issued. These arrests included 5 wanted for crimes across the region – including assault and grand larceny. Fare enforcement plays a vital role in maintaining a safe system.“

The photos don’t do it justice. They were trying to enter a gated garage at city center. Backed traffic up trying to enter then tried to get the car to turn around just before the gate to get out. “On Saturday May 10 and Sunday May 11, free shuttle buses will replace trains between Stadium-Armory and New Carrollton on the Orange Line.
New Carrollton, Landover, Cheverly, Deanwood, and Minnesota Ave. stations will be closed as crews replace crossties.

From DDOT:
“The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is advising the public of upcoming changes to traffic operations on the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge (I-66) as part of the ongoing Rehabilitation of the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge Project.
Beginning Monday, May 12, 2025, and continuing through 2027, DDOT will discontinue operation of the movable rush hour (zipper) lane on the bridge. This change is necessary to support construction activities during the multi-year rehabilitation effort.

If we give benefit of the doubt, maybe they will claim it says Arlan? Not sure what Arlan would mean but another interpretation could be Aryan. Is there any other way to interpret this?
