Feeling grateful for my dc neighbors! Today (Wed.) I lost my left airpod after getting whacked by the train door at Pentagon City trying to make it onto the metro 😭 I checked with the station manager at l’enfant when making my transfer and someone had turned it in! Whoever you are, if you’re reading this, you rock and I hope you have an awesome day! I got it back!

It’s bad enough we are all in 5 days a week, but now our commute times have increased drastically. Below is what I sent to WMATA. Anyone else impacted is encouraged to reuse the content to advocate for more efficient shuttle services!

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction and concern regarding the current shuttle bus plan for the Green Line shutdown, which is scheduled from August 2nd to August 31st. As a federal employee who relies on the Green Line to commute to the Suitland Federal Center, the designated shuttle service is inadequate and has created a significant and unnecessary hardship for hundreds, if not thousands, of employees. “surely I’m not the only one having a miserable time with this new system.

this bus update sucks! Yesterday (Thursday) I got on the D72 northbound expecting to go to Van Ness, was inexplicably told the bus would only go to Porter and to take the next one, got on the next one and that went one block up Mt. P and kicked everyone out. Missed my event and had to Uber.

Today (Friday), 5pm, I’m walking distance to 3 different routes heading downtown and not a single bus is within 15 minutes of me. What were you thinking? EVERYONE wants (more…)
