“another accident at Taylor and 13th place NE. How many more until we get a traffic pattern change or someone gets killed? Been happening for years now with no action.”

Chris Baronner also reported just before 10am:

“@kenyanmcduffie Are we going to wait until a child walking to school at 8:30 in the morning is killed at the intersection of Taylor St NE/13th Place before making 13th Pl one ways or at least a 4-way stop? @PoPville Too many accidents/way too many near misses on daily basis!”

“The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle of interest involved in a Hit-and-Run which occurred in the 4400 block of Wisconsin Avenue, NW, on September 5, 2018 at approximately 7:20 PM. The vehicle of interest was captured by a nearby camera.

Holy smokes – this insanity was tweeted by DC Fire and EMS Saturday around 2pm:

“This was the scene this morning at Rock Creek Parkway and P St NW after a vehicle went into the creek. #DCsBravest searched the vehicle and adjacent area and found no victims.”


A reader reports yesterday:

“I went to Giant Foods in Columbia heights to buy some groceries and I saw this mess in its parking garage. I was told it was a fourth car involved which was all destroyed, besides the truck that caused the accident. That happened on Saturday but I went on Sunday afternoon and the cars were still there.”

DC Fire and EMS reported:

“Vehicle into building Division Ave and Sheriff Rd NE. Car into the 7-11 with person trapped. Extrication in progress.

Vehicle into building updated location 900 block Eastern Ave NE. #DCsBravest have extricated 1 patient who will be transported with serious traumatic injuries. Assessing structural stability of building. All utilities secured.

Update on the early morning incident involving a vehicle into the building on Eastern Ave NE. The trapped individual was a person inside the store, not the driver. Driver was uninjured.”

The Washington Post reported it happened at 12:30am and the building is a 7-Eleven.
