Thanks to Joel for sending:
“From Mass Ave NW between 10th and 11th. This parking job is a work of art, the way it so perfectly captures what’s wrong with car culture. They couldn’t have gotten it more perfectly centered in a crowded sidewalk during the morning rush.”

“Dear PoPville,
There was a hit and run that happened last night at approximately 9:55 PM at the intersection of R ST NW and 6th ST NW. I was about to cross 6th street, standing on R when I saw a cyclist (who had a green light) crossing 6th street in the bike lane on R St. At the same time, a speeding car driver turning left from Rhode Island Ave NW ran the red light and T-boned the cyclist at the intersection, sending him and his bike flying. The car driver decelerated for a few seconds, and sped away on 6th street heading south. (more…)

Jen captures this bizarre scene:
“A bit of excitement outside Paisano’s in Georgetown tonight. Delivery driver somehow gunned it through the brick wall and onto the grass outside the Boys and Girls Club at Jelleff Rec Center. Nobody was hurt but we felt badly for the young guy inside the pizza place who had lent the driver his truck.”

Jill sends from 11th and Monroe Street, NW:
“Do you know what happened? Looks like a car went on the pavement, hit the fire hydrant and dragged it 3 ft away.”

8:26am – thanks to David for sending.

Ouch. Thanks to Erin for sending: “It was just after 7am, so technically both cars are in need of towing. Southwest corner of Kalorama, at Connecticut.”
