Is there a correlation between neighborhoods and Macs versus PCs. I feel like I have read this somewhere. Maybe in some NYC neighborhoods. At any rate at Columbia Heights Coffee this Sat. there were five folks with laptops and 4 out of 5 Macs. Any meaning here?

So I dropped in on an oscar themed costume party on Saturday night.  I’m not really a costume or dress up person so I went in my regular street clothes.  And I won second place for best costume.  I’m not sure if that is compliment or an insult…

Ok, my seventh grade science skills are a little rusty, remind again why sometimes it is possible to see the moon during the day.

If you somehow manage to breach the bars these mailboxes are completely encased and protected by reinforced brick. I guess it is Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition time…

“My favorite place in DC is my studio/house. Fischer my cat shares it with me and several other young non-political types in Columbia Heights/Parkview. I took this picture last spring on one of the first days I was able to leave my window open. From my studio I can see Georgia Avenue and a very heavily traveled alley. Its a short cut to Cluck-U Chicken and the H2 Bus Stop. In winter I draw my shades but the sounds of the Georgia Ave never leave with the seasons. Its bus after bus and an occasional ambulance. A couple months ago I went to visit my parents on their quiet farm in New Hampshire. I had to take a fist full of TylenolPMs to fall asleep.”

I’ve been skewered in the past after voicing my objection to lawn parking but I guess I’m a glutton for punishment. I still think it is terrible. And if you have a nice Mercedes, I’d imagine you can have a proper driveway. So remind me again, why is it alright for people to park cars on their lawns? After the jump check out a photo of the type/condition of car I normally see parked on lawns. (more…)
