“Dear PoPville,
About a year ago USPS decided that our single family home was now four units. That meant four of each mailer. But it also makes it impossible to forward mail that is sent to our true address, the one without units attached to it, because USPS only recognizes the addresses with units on the site. We had a feeling that the new condo down the street, with four units, messed something up when they registered their addresses. (more…)

Thanks to Chris for sending on Saturday: “Might not be the last but it sure was the mother load!”

“Dear PoPville,
I can tolerate getting our mail delivery during the week as late as 10:30pm, and I’m aware the USPS delivery people are overwhelmed, but tonight our mail was just thrown up on the porch, no attempt to put in our mail box. This delivery included some very important and personal financial documents.”

Thanks to Helen for sending the new record holder:
“Got my Christmas check from my grandma in the mail today, April 12, which was mailed from Mississippi on December 7! Definitely thought this had been lost forever!”

“Dear PoPville,
For the past month, neighbors in Crestwood have not had regular mail (missing 2-3 nights a week). Mail has been found in large dumps in the woods. Are thieves looking for stimulus checks? Is this a disgruntled worker? No one knows, as the postal inspector, is not responding to emails.
Sad state of affairs indeed.”

Holy smokes thanks to Carmel for sending: “My aunt and uncle didn’t forget about me this year after all. Their Christmas card, mailed to me on December 11, 2020 in Lexington, KY, arrived in my mailbox today, April 3, 2020.”
And thanks to Molly for sending this bonus tree from 14th and N St, NW with ornaments: (more…)
