“This little guy was found last night ,( Saturday Dec 17) . In Rock Creek park near Klingle RD and Park RD. He obviously is loved as he is all dressed and showing off his holiday spirit. “I found this pup wandering on the street around 9pm at 12th and Hamlin St NE. He was shaking from cold but is really friendly. He looks like a pitbull or pitbull mix I called animal control but he’s so friendly and has a choke collar so I thought maybe he might be missing.”

I found a super cute Puggle on the 1400 block of Meridian Place NW (Columbia Heights) on Saturday morning. I immediately took her to the vet and she has no chip. I’ve called several vets, the Humane Society, Animal Control and posted on several listserves. Given the dogs sweet nature and some other signs, it appears she’s loved and I’m hoping you can help me find her owner. If they are the owner or know the owner or even if they have a lead, they can call 202-236-5295.”

“My neighbor & I saw a dog with no collar walking down Oakwood Ter in Mt Pleasant. Medium sized, black and white. He seemed very friendly. Was missing his collar. We pet him, but then he ran across 17th up the driveway of The Village apartment complex. These streets border on the park, so maybe he slipped away during a walk on the nearby trail.

I wanted to get the info & pic out there in case anyone recognizes him. 17th is a curvy street that could be very dangerous for a loose dog.”
