Anyone Recognize these Pups?

by Prince Of Petworth February 14, 2017 at 10:57 am 10 Comments

“We found these two dogs roaming around the Columbia Heights/Petworth area this morning around 10am (originally spotted on Lamont). We called animal control, but they seem friendly and have collars (no tags), so figured an owner may be worried and looking for them!”

If anyone recognizes them, email [email protected] and I’ll put you in touch with OP. Thanks.

please post to lost and found dogs DC metro area FB page, and send to Petworth, SWP, and DC dog yahoo listservs.

It is hard to tell from the pic but they look like they could be the puggles that live on the 700th block of Morton St…hard to tell and don’t know the exact address but if it is them, they live in the middle of the block on the north side.

I don’t know the dogs you are talking about, but those dogs look much bigger than puggles to me.

      • Truxtoner

Uh, right? Those look like labs to me.

    • Morton

Thanks , but these are not the Morton St. puggles. I hope these two make it home soon.

Update: One had an additional small yellow collar that said “Beowulf” but no contact info. They’re both pretty big dogs, so probably not the puggles referenced above. Animal control picked them up around 11am but I’d be happy to provide more info if needed!

They live in a garage/yard in an alley behind the 700 block of Lamont St. Our bedroom window used to look out onto their yard before we moved so I recognize them.

Love the initiative – hope these pups find their home soon

Thanks, all! A neighbor reached out to us, so the dogs should be reunited with their owner soon :)

A couple of neighbors (around MtPleasant, Lamont & Park) were running around our alley from 11pm to midnight last night yelling incessantly for a Butler….is one of these Butler?!? That would be great if they were reunited with their dog(s).
