From the Humane Rescue Alliance:
“Washingtonians come together in times of crisis, and right now the Humane Rescue Alliance needs our community’s help.
Last week we took in 90 dogs, but only 17 were adopted. It’s an unsustainable equation, so if you have been considering adoption, then now is the time. We are discounting adoption fees 50% (typically $150 – $250) for all dogs today through Sunday.
We are open for walk-in adoptions Tuesday – Sunday from 12 – 7 p.m. at both our 71 Oglethorpe St. NW and 1201 New York Ave. NE locations. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
We are looking for these two lovely people whose golden doodles were likely our dog’s offpring! We met them during a walk in Rock Creek Park. They got their pups from the same place where our dog was the mommy dog – Paw Pads. We would love to arrange a reunion! If you can help find who they might be let us know!”
If you know them/are them please (have them) email me at [email protected] and I’ll put you in touch with OP!

“Dear PoPville,
This woman ignored the fence and NO DOG signs placed every few feet around the perimeter of a landscaped area and took a leisurely stroll inside so her pet could do its business. When I pointed out it was defecating RIGHT NEXT to a sign, she told me The Law doesn’t require her to comply. (more…)
Since our ‘snow dog’ season was a bust this winter, happy to supplement with Blossom Dogs! If you have/get a good photo, please send your pup’s photo to [email protected] and I’ll now add to the animal fix queue.
