A reader reported: “Heard what sounded like a shootout from my apartment on 16th in Mt pleasant. Sounds coming from Columbia Heights. Can now hear choppers circling”

From MPD around 10pm: “Alert: Shooting Investigation in the 3100 block of 16th Street NW. Lookout for a B/M, wearing a light gray hoodie with dreadlocks.”

From MPD around 11pm: “Alert: Double Shooting Investigation at the intersection of Tennessee and C Street NE Lookout for a white sedan.”

On Saturday, September 24, Blake was senselessly killed while at a bar in Washington DC celebrating his friend’s birthday.

Blake was many things to many people and played a pivotal role in the lives of everyone he met. He was a star athlete at Morgan State, a dedicated member of his community where he volunteered his time, and an award-winning Realtor who helped a number of people reach their goals of homeownership.
