“As I was walking home from work yesterday along Swann Street NW between 16th and 15th Streets, a cop car drove up slowly next me and yelled ‘Hey Neighbor!’ I looked at the car and there were 2 young-ish looking cops and I replied ‘Are you talking to me?’ and they said ‘Yeah, good looking’ well I continued to keep walking ignoring that idiot remark, shaking my head as I went and could hear them laughing. This was a little too creepy especially for cops (in uniform), and I definitely did not appreciate it. I took photos of their car (which is now parked on Swann Street NW) – see the attached, Kentucky license plates, and it says Richmond. Why are Richmond, Kentucky cops doing here? And why are they being obnoxious? Idiots…”

More big yoga news this week. Back in Oct. 2013 we learned that Cafe Japone had closed at 2032 P Street, NW. Next up – Unity Woods Dupont Yoga (these signs were taped to the doors):
Update: thanks to MPinDC for clarifying, “it is a new yoga studio (Dupont Yoga) that will be offering space to a Unity Woods teacher on Saturday mornings.”

Toronto’s The Chickery is coming to the former Black and Orange burger spot (formerly Rogue States) in south Dupont:

This is the former Nature’s Table space that closed in early March. I’m told MASO will feature made to order salads and other healthy options – I’ll post the menu when it’s released. They should open next week.

And quite the description (actually pretty terrifying because it’s happened to me) on the Hill tweeted by @HStreetDC_:
“Aggressive crow dive-bombing people at 14th/SC SE. Animal Control can’t remove for a few days because of baby birds in nest. Be careful.”
It’s pretty funny though if you happen to see it happen to someone. My neighbor still laughs about the time I was chased up and down the street by a momma bird about 5 years ago.
