Claire via GoFundMe

“Dear PoPville,

I’m emailing about the people involved in a headline from mid-January: 2 Woman Shot (reportedly “in their Uber”). I happened to know one of the two women, Claire, and I hoped you would consider posting her GoFundMe to help support her recovery. She is dealing with several injuries as a result of one bullet entering and exiting her body several times while she was riding in an Uber with a friend. As senseless as the violence in this city (and country) can be, I firmly believe in the DC community’s ability to uplift and support one another. It would be much appreciated if you could spread the word!”

Starting around 9:49pm: “some sort of explosion in Parkview or Petworth. Maybe gun shots but sounded louder. Anyone know anything?”

“anyone know what was up with that explosion / loud noise in park view?”

“There was a gun shot after but first one didn’t sound like a gun shot”

“Heard it too! On Quebec place. Saw a small flash too.” (more…)
