“Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts announced today the first set of summer 2024 Filene Center performances at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. Tickets for all announced performances go on sale to the public on Friday, February 16 at 10 AM.

Chesapeake House, “It was built in 1937 by the Mattingly family, making it a relative late-comer to the declining Reno City community. The Mattinglys operated a store of the first floor and lived upstairs The family sold the building to the United States in 1950. It is expected that Chesapeake House will be restored as part of a planned-unit development agreement with the developers of a mixed-use development project on Wisconsin Avenue.”

Holy smokes. When it rains it pours and today it is pouring pure joy. I don’t have timing on this one but I’m also hearing that that prayers of Brookland have finally been answered and a Trader Joe’s is coming. I don’t know where. Maybe here? I don’t know when but I do know that my Trader Joe’s scuttlebutt accuracy is pretty damned good…

Alright y’all, if you were excited about the Booeymonger reopening, you’re gonna want to buckle up and secure your helmets because I hear from a very good source that a Trader Joe’s is coming to part of the old Mazza Gallerie space early next year assuming construction is completed on time.
