“The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking public comments on the environmental assessment (EA) for the demolition of the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium (RFK Stadium). This EA looks at the impacts that would occur from the NPS authorizing the District of Columbia, through Events DC, to demolish RFK Stadium. “Dear PoPville,

I live near the Engine 8 fire station in Hill East and while I admit it’s a little less awful than your recurring series, it’s still not great!

They’ve been replacing the roof at the fire station for the past couple weeks and this has resulted in lots of noise every morning because they start bright and early (including on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend). “Dear PoPville,

My husband, our teenage son, and I live on Capitol Hill. On Saturday night, July 22, our 16-year-old was confronted by a gunman, shot at multiple times, and forced to hide under a blanket in the woods for an hour with strangers on Kingman Island.

He’d gone for an evening jog and came upon an armed man standing over someone in a field. The gunman pointed his gun at him and shouted. (more…)
