Multiple readers reported hearing around 5-6 shots. One writes: “Our neighborhood has been complaining about this corner for a long time and now we have a person shot. The city needs to do more to help.”

“The First District is currently investigating a shooting which occurred at 9:45pm in the 1400 block of A Street SE. While investigating the sounds of gunfire in the area units located two adult victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Both victims were conscience and breathing when transported to area hospitals. Once more information is available an update will follow. Anyone that may have seen anything or may have any information about this case please contact the First District Detectives Office at 202-299-2025 or the Command Information Center at 202-727-9099.
